This is a super cool DIY project that I found on Design Sponge during my blog patrol.  I’m all about having those unique items that look great, are functional and can be a conversation piece – created by you!  Check it out and if you make it, let me know how it turns out.

Check out this video of an apartment in Barcelona that’s about 300 square feet (if that)… Now, that’s what I call an efficient use of space…

That’s a What?!

Now this is what I call Hard as a Muv!

I love Brooklyn!  Some of my friends look at me sideways when I say that the sun shines brighter in Brooklyn, but it really believe that it does!  I’m out here for Artists & Fleas and just had to take a moment to soak in the beauty of Brooklyn.  I won’t begin to say that this is the case for all parts of Bklyn, but there are quite a few neighborhoods where this most assuredly applies.
Artists & Fleas creates weekly markets where emerging artists, indie designers, vintage collectors, and handmade crafters can set up shop, meet others and get in touch directly with customers while being a part of a weekly, dynamic community happening. It was established in ’03 in Williamsburg Brooklyn and is a unique destination for the community of artisans, collectors and cool-hunters to come together in a thriving alternative-to-retail setting.

If you’re ever in Williamsburg, Brooklyn or are looking for some of the coolest, original clothing, jewelry and more… Go to @ArtistsandFleas.

I’ve been looking for a vanity table for EVER!  I love the character that this table has and the detail of it all…  But, I’m not sure I could get into a non polished look…  There’s something about vintage or reclaimed items that I can’t get into…  Don’t let me steal your sunshine!  If you’re okay with getting something that a few people have had, get up on it.  Dang it!  I love this look enough to get that sage burning and karma cleansing going!

I’ve always been a sucker for the home decor shows… any number of HGTVs shows, Extreme Makeover.  Forget about Cribs and Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous!  I just love to take a look at the great design ideas that folks come up with.  Confession…  I also like to go house/apartment hunting…  Every now and again, I walk by one of those amazing new developments and just have to walk into the model apartment to see how they’ve pulled it together.

Well, I’ve started a collection of room designs that I’m in love with and want to apply to my apartment room by room…  They also give you a flavor for those “gotta have it” pieces that add character.  Check out this super fab living room I found on HGTV’s Designers’ Portfolio.  And, some affordable alternatives that will help you get the same look.  Don’t look at me sideways if some of the pieces I found are from IKEA… Whatever gets you the look!  (I haven’t quite found the lamp yet….)

I’m so excited that I got a chance to be a part of this year’s Shecky’s Girls Night Out!  I’ve been getting back into the shopping scene and figured if I’m going to do it, I might as well do it big with shows like Shecky’s!  It was definitely an event to behold.  There were lots of amazing vendors, cocktails, and a whole lot more.

Check out some pictures of some of the new products that I made for this event: pillows, jars, votives, and more!

Bust Craftacular 2011

This past Saturday, I was selected as one of the artists at the much anticipated Bust Craftacular in Soho! I haven’t been out in a minute so I was really excited to debut some new products! Check ‘em out!

This is not your typical craft show!  BUST Magazine is extending its popular Craftacular into a six-day pop up shop that will feature some of the best BUST Magazine Craftacular vendors.

The magazine partnered with Hendrick’s Gin and Gallery 151 to host a sunset shopping spree from Monday December 13 – Saturday, December 18th in the beautiful setting of the Enchanted Forest of Curiosities.

Join me on Monday night from 4pm to 9pm for shopping and complementary Hendricks Gin cocktails. Come get your drink on and finish up that last-minute holiday shopping!

Monday, December 13, 2010 (4pm – 9pm).
